Financial Account with responsibility for the overall finance function within the business including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, managing the audit process, contributing to the budgeting process. Computation of tax returns and quarterly surveys.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Statement Preparation and reporting:
- Creating and analyzing financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Consolidation of intercompany financial statements
Data & Financial Analysis:
- Collecting, organizing, and analyzing financial data to identify trends and patterns.
- Analyze financial data, prepare reports, and provide insights to management.
- Provide financial information to support business decisions
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Developing and managing budgets and forecasts for the company's financial performance and ensuring alignment with business goals.
Internal & External Auditing:
- Conducting internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
- Managing the audit process with external auditors
- Ensuring financial information is appropriately filed on a daily basis in preparation for both internal and external audits
Tax Compliance:
- Preparing and filing tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Account Reconciliation:
- Reconciling accounts payable and receivable, as well as bank statements on a weekly and and monthly basis.
Reporting and Communication:
- Communicating financial information and insights to management, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Providing necessary financial reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Staying updated on accounting standards and regulations and ensuring compliance.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations
Cost Analysis and Control:
- Analyzing costs and expenses to identify areas for improvement.
Financial Planning:
- Participating in financial planning and strategic decision-making.
Risk Management:
- Assess and mitigate financial and operational risks.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements in the accounting process
Experience Requirement:
- Proven Track record of working in a finance accountant role.
- Experience working with international companies and various jurisdictions.
- Ability to work with cross functional team such as logistics, sales, aftersales etc.
- Experience working in sales & service focus business.
- Ability to working in a team and independently
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- Efficient with MS suit packages
- Proven track record of working with finance packages, Quick books will be an advantage.
- Experience working with deadline driven deliverables.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- Must be qualified Chartered Account or hold a Finance Professional designation.
- Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, including GAAP and IFRS.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends and patterns.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate financial information clearly and concisely.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software and data analysis tools.
