Provide high-level support to the Managing Director while ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance. Act as a key liaison between the MD, finance team, and external stakeholders, supporting strategic priorities with discretion and analytical rigor.

 

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support

  • Manage the Managing Director’s calendar, meetings, and appointments

  • Draft and review professional correspondence, reports, and presentations

  • Coordinate internal and external communications with discretion

  • Organise travel, logistics, and ad-hoc administrative tasks

  • Follow up on action items and support execution of strategic initiatives

Financial & Accounting Support

  • Prepare and post accounting journal entries

  • Assist with bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes

  • Maintain accurate general ledger and financial records

  • Prepare reports, audit schedules, and financial documentation for internal and external audits

  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, statutory filings, and internal control procedures

Governance & Liaison

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact between MD, finance team, and external stakeholders

  • Support audit and compliance exercises in coordination with local authorities

  • Ensure seamless execution of operational and financial priorities

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in finance, executive support, or hybrid roles

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Cognos, Sage) and Microsoft Office 365

  • Strong understanding of Mauritian accounting standards and basic IFRS principles

  • High level of discretion, confidentiality, and integrity

  • Excellent organisational, communication, and analytical skills

  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work independently
