Field Officer | Operation

Assist the Senior Area Manager in the daily field operations including but not limited to Soil Preparation, irrigation, weed management, fertilization and harvest of Sugarcane.

Duties and responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision and monitoring of all field operations on site.
• Be actively involved in daily, mechanized and manual field activities.
• Calibrate equipment as and when required.
• Collaborate with key field supervisors to learn about the job.
• Supervise field collaborators during field activities.
• Collect, process and record data. 
• Conduct sampling of soil, plant materials among others.
• Assist in the setting- up of agronomic trails. 
• Effectively provide feedback on assigned tasks. 
• Ensure health and safety in all tasks assigned and undertaken.
