Fabric Process Capability Analyst

CDL is currently looking for a Fabric Process Capability Analyst.

Created in 1989 and a member of CIEL Textile, CDL is a fully integrated knitting, dyeing and finishing mill located in Forest Side.  With a workforce of 300, CDL produces fabric for the fine knits garment-making industry. 

CDL is currently looking for a Fabric Process Capability Analyst who will ensure consistent fabric quality by conducting in-depth analysis of fabric parameters and leading improvement initiatives that enhance process capability and reduce variability, in alignment with quality assurance and manufacturing excellence goals.

What you will be doing:

• Fabric Analysis
• Analyze in-process fabric parameters (e.g., GSM, shrinkage, skewness, strength).
• Identify recurring defects or variances impacting product quality.
• Ensure compliance with fabric specifications and customer standards.
• Process Capability Improvement
• Work closely with production, quality, and R&D teams to map processes and identify critical control points.
• Apply statistical tools (SPC, Cp, Cpk, etc.) to assess process performance and recommend improvements.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conforming fabric batches, fabric stability-wise
• Quality Assurance Support
• Support pre-production trials and fabric approvals.
• Reporting & Communication
• Maintain a comprehensive database of fabric performance metrics and process capability indices.
• Generate and present analytical reports and dashboards to management for decision-making.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve fabric quality-related concerns

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in fabric engineering would be a definite advantage
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
