Role Overview The F&B Hostess is responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth, organised, and pleasant dining experience from guest arrival through seating, while maintaining high service standards.
Greet guests courteously and professionally upon arrival.
Escort guests to their tables according to reservations and seating plans.
Manage reservations, waiting lists, and seating arrangements efficiently.
Coordinate with service staff to ensure smooth table turnover and service flow.
Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and presentation of the reception and waiting area.
Provide accurate information about menus, outlets, and dining concepts.
Handle guest inquiries and special requests politely and professionally.
Communicate effectively with the kitchen and service teams.
Monitor guest flow and peak hours to avoid overcrowding.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and hotel standards.
Support service teams during busy periods when required.
Follow hotel grooming standards, policies, and professional conduct guidelines.
Assist with event setups, group reservations, and special occasions.
Record guest feedback and report concerns to the F&B Manager or Outlet Manager.
Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
Experience in a hotel or restaurant environment is an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Well-groomed, presentable appearance with a professional attitude.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
