The Duty Manager is responsible for the overall smooth operation of the Resort. Act as the "Liaison Officer" between guests and Management.
The Duty Manager reporting to the General Manager.
The responsibilities of the Duty Manager include but are not limited to the following:
- Acts as Duty Manager for the evening shift 15 hrs to midnight
- Handle all complaints from guests and transmits them to the departments concerned and see that corrective actions are taken immediately.
- Co-ordinate with Front Office and Guest Relation on arrivals, walk-ins, groups and guests with special requests by monitoring group arrival reports, and other relevant reports.
- Maximize room revenue and occupancy by effectively maximizing yield and excel in room up-selling and other revenue centre.
- Establish and maintain operation standards. Initiates new procedures to increase efficiency, productivity and maximum guest comfort and satisfaction.
- Ensure effective manning at all the time to maximize productivity and business demands.
- Identify training needs and implements effective training program. Train colleagues on new work processes, understanding of policies and procedures.
- Perform all aspects of personnel and training functions, performance appraisals, counselling, coaching, disciplinary action, monitor performance, etc.
- Co-ordinate with Engineering and Housekeeping to ensure that all rooms are ready for sale in the proper condition.
- Co-ordinate with Security and other Depts.
- Meet and greet VIPs arrivals and departures .
- Uphold grooming standard in the team.
- Provides leadership and support for Reception, Guest Relations, Excursions, Transportation.
- Holds daily shift handovers.
- Checks all rooms for guests and ensures room is ready prior to arrival.
- Covers rotating overnight shifts and performs system data backup.
