Electrician

The Electrician will perform electrical maintenance and repair work, including AC/DC systems, batteries, and automotive electrical circuits.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Always ensure personal and workplace electrical safety.
• Follow all applicable safety standards and regulations. 
• Inspect and maintain electrical systems in vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair faults in electrical systems.
• Handle, replace, and repair AC and DC automotive circuits.
• Troubleshoot electrical components and systems.
• Install and repair motors, starters, generators, batteries, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
• Carry out routine and emergency maintenance.
• Install and maintain wiring systems, cables, and conductors.
• Perform complete wiring of electrical panels.
• Use electrical testing tools (e.g., voltmeters, ammeters, meggers).
• Measure and diagnose faults in electrical systems.
• Interpret wiring diagrams.
• Execute electrical work based on technical drawings.
• Estimate materials required for jobs.
• Keep records of materials used and required.

Profile:

• Exposure to AC/DC circuits and industrial electrical systems.
• Skilled in using testing instruments (multimeter, ammeter, megger, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of wiring, cabling, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
• Compliance with workplace safety regulations.
• Good communication skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

• School Certificate (SC) or equivalent with at least 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in automotive electrical systems (vehicles, batteries, starters, alternators).
• Experience in maintenance, fault finding, and repairs.
