The Electrician will perform electrical maintenance and repair work, including AC/DC systems, batteries, and automotive electrical circuits.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Always ensure personal and workplace electrical safety.
- Follow all applicable safety standards and regulations.
- Inspect and maintain electrical systems in vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair faults in electrical systems.
- Handle, replace, and repair AC and DC automotive circuits.
- Troubleshoot electrical components and systems.
- Install and repair motors, starters, generators, batteries, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
- Carry out routine and emergency maintenance.
- Install and maintain wiring systems, cables, and conductors.
- Perform complete wiring of electrical panels.
- Use electrical testing tools (e.g., voltmeters, ammeters, meggers).
- Measure and diagnose faults in electrical systems.
- Interpret wiring diagrams.
- Execute electrical work based on technical drawings.
- Estimate materials required for jobs.
- Keep records of materials used and required.
Profile:
- Exposure to AC/DC circuits and industrial electrical systems.
- Skilled in using testing instruments (multimeter, ammeter, megger, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of wiring, cabling, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
- Compliance with workplace safety regulations.
- Good communication skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
- School Certificate (SC) or equivalent with at least 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in automotive electrical systems (vehicles, batteries, starters, alternators).
- Experience in maintenance, fault finding, and repairs.
