ERP/Business Applications Functional Analyst/Developer

This role combines business analysis, system configuration, and development work primarily focused on Odoo and Sage ERP implementations and ongoing support projects.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements
• Analyse current workflows and identify opportunities for improvement through ERP optimization
• Document functional specifications and business requirements
• Conduct gap analysis between business needs and system capabilities

System Configuration & Development

• Configure and customize Odoo modules including Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, and CRM
• Develop custom Odoo modules and modifications using Python, XML, and JavaScript
• Work with Sage ERP systems for configuration, customization, and integration projects
• Create and maintain technical documentation for all customizations and configurations

Implementation & Support

• Lead or participate in ERP implementation projects from planning through go-live
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for existing Odoo and Sage installations
• Perform system testing, user acceptance testing coordination, and quality assurance
• Train end users on system functionality and best practices

Integration & Data Management

• Design and implement integrations between ERP systems and third-party applications
• Manage data migration projects and ensure data integrity
• Develop reports and dashboards to meet business intelligence requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
• 3+ years of experience with ERP systems, specifically Odoo and/or Sage
• Strong understanding of business processes across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and sales domains
• Proficiency in Python programming for Odoo development
• Experience with SQL databases and data manipulation
• Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Odoo certification or extensive hands-on Odoo development experience or Experience with Sage X3, Sage 30, or Sage Intacct
• Knowledge of REST APIs and system integration patterns
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments
• Project management experience or certification
• Understanding of accounting principles and business finance
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
