We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our transportation team. The Driver will be responsible for safely transporting materials, equipment, and personnel to and from job sites, suppliers, and clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of our operations in the metal and steel industry.

Job Description

  • Operate company vehicles (e.g., trucks, vans, forklifts) safely and responsibly.
  • Transport materials, equipment, and personnel to and from job sites, suppliers, and clients.
  • Follow traffic laws, regulations, and safety procedures at all times.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues, cleanliness, and safety before and after each trip.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance.
  • Assist in loading and unloading materials and equipment as needed.
  • Examine vehicles before any trip (wheels, oil and water level, lights and fuel)
  • Inform Supervisor of any sign of damage or remedials
  • Check expiry dates of Insurance, Declaration, Servicing and Fitness and inform HR.
  • Check loading and unloading as per P.O and DN
  • Safety check for Fire extinguisher, Triangle, spare wheel and First Aid kit
  • Safety wear before going on site.
  • Monitor fuel consumption and fill in logbook for mileage.
  • Keep track of all trips for reporting.
  • Check loading of materials as per DN.
  • Verify materials before taking delivery.
  • If any change, notify immediately Supervisor.
  • Not to carry any materials or employees without permission from Supervisor.

Candidate Profile

  • Valid driver's license (2.5/5 tons including lorry with crane) and clean driving record.
  • Minimum SC
  • Proven experience as a Driver in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with driving and operating forklifts is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safety procedures.
  • Excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and reliability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
