The Incumbent will be responsible to oversee deliveries to ensure they are performed according to schedule, procedures and customer requirements, as well as providing timely assistance to crew and prompt service to customers. An attract package awaits the ideal candidate.

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Receive instructions from Distribution Supervisor:    
    • To know which D/S and routes to monitor as per daily Scheduled Loads.
    • To rotate with counterpart to make sure to cover all routes and regions.
    • To monitor D/S and routes so that they are not the same on each day every week.
  • Check that D/S follows the sequence of deliveries in the route.
  • Monitor the duration of deliveries and in between them under normal conditions to have benchmark.
  • Connect to the GPS platform remotely and liaise with Distribution Communications Clerk to locate positioning of truck.
  • Monitor that 1st trips are completed within expected and reasonable timeframe so that subsequent scheduled trips are on track.
  • Coordinate the continuity of deliveries during ‘ravitaillement’ process.
  • Inform Distribution Lead Supervisor in case the schedule is impacted.
  • Avoid delayed loads so as to achieve highest OTIF.
  • Report to office at end of day for feedback and planning next day.
  • Monitor that deliveries are done swiftly and according to procedures or any customer specific delivery requirements.
  • Monitor D/S and crew to ensure:
    • adherence to delivery procedures
    • proper grooming and wearing of uniforms
    • Use of PPE (gloves, safety shoes, etc.)
  • Assist D/S who encounter hurdles in their deliveries regarding payment, hand-held and printer devices, quantity and quality of products, collection of empties and damaged products, etc.
  • Liaise with Sales and Tel-Sell teams to seek further help and assistance on delivery constraints that may impact subsequent deliveries and trips.
  • Inform Distribution Lead Supervisor of any late/after-hours deliveries to avoid undelivered order.
  • Ensure all and maximum orders are delivered to minimise undelivered orders and achieve highest OTIF.
  • As per target and frequencies to be agreed, visit customers to:
    • Seek feedback on the delivery crews and service, as well as on the communication service received from Distribution.
    • Promote the sorting of crates procedure and collection of Crates on Loan with customers.
    • Build a communication channel with customers (especially KR outlets) where unloading is often delayed.
  • With the assistance of CD/CM,
    • Immediately tackle complaints arising from deliveries on same day.
    • Visit customers who have filed a complaint after delivery. 
  • Monitor deliveries and trips performed by Taxi contractors to ensure compliance to procedures, grooming, etc.
  • Report complaints to CRU as required.
  • As per target and frequencies to be agreed, carry out and feedback to Distribution Supervisor:
    • Evaluate the loading configuration of cases on truck for safe transportation and practicality of delivery.
    • Inspect the truck and its equipment for any defects and malfunctions.
  • Assess the routes, access and delivery conditions for truck and crew for new and existing customers.
  • Organise transport to transfer any injured crew to hospital and escalate to Distribution Coordinator depending on gravity.
  • Report incidents to HR as required.
Qualifications and skills required
  • Higher School Certificate (HSC) + Certificate in logistics
  • 2 or 3 years of experience in Distribution / Logistic Fields preferably in the FMCG sector.  
  • Computer literate (MS office, GPS, ERP)
  • Owner of valid driving Licence
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changes 
  • Good communication skills
  • Customer oriented
