   1. 2.              Qualifications

   Candidates should be

   a)    Holder of Higher School Certificate or any other academic and professional certificates as may qualify him / her for the post of Delivery Officer

   b)    Have at least three years’ experience in the Motor Vehicle Industry

   c)     Must also be computer literate and be familiar with Word and Excel

   d)    Proven good communication skills

   e)     Holder of a valid driving license

    

   1. 3.              Responsible to: Logistics Manager or any other designated officer

    

   1. 4.              Duties          
   • To call the customers in advance and fix the delivery date and time (Set appointment with customer for delivery);
   • To inform customers about payment due (if any) and mode of payment, which need to be settled before delivery;
   • To prepare paperwork required for delivery of vehicle ready, such as; preparing delivery note, Service Guide and Warranty booklet completed and filled in;
   • To communicate confirmation date and time to Production Supervisor (PS) / PDI Clerk;
   • To liaise with Logistics staff for Registration Book (Horse Power), Insurance, Road Tax vignette and Registration Plate numbers;
   • To ensure that the correct wordings are written on the Registration book in regards to the Deed of Sale, such as Name and Address of customer, VIN and Engine number, type of motor vehicle and model, Engine capacity, colour;
   • To check and ensure that “Confirmation Letter” from Leasing Companies/Banks/Insurance Companies. and other government institutions are available prior to delivery;
   • To update the “Delivery Board”;
   • To proceed with quality inspection and check if vehicle is in a deliverable state, for e.g. the exterior and interior components are free of faults and is in clean and tidy conditions;
   • To ensure that the conditions of delivery have been met as per Sales Contract;
   • Welcome and greet all customers and visitors calling at VLC;
   • To accompany the customer to the delivery lounge (never let the customer unattended);
   • To ensure that the customer gets a good introduction of the vehicle;
   • To explain to the customer the features of the new brand vehicle and how to use them;
   • To demonstrate to the customer how to fully operate the vehicle;
   • To make vehicle presentations and explanations of service in a detailed manner;
   • To introduce / inform the customer to the Aftersales Department on related services;
   • To perform any other cognate duties as may be assigned by the Logistics Manager or any designated officer.
