Data & Digital Transformation Manager

Emcar Group is hiring a passionate and experienced person as Data & Digital Transformation Manager to manage the daily IT operations and strategic IT vision of the company

We are seeking a digitally savvy and strategic leader to drive our technology strategy and enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives. This role goes beyond traditional IT management - you will act as a strategic business partner, reimagining how technology, data and automation enable growth, efficiency and innovation across multiple markets, including our Kenya operations.

 Reporting to the ICT Committee, you will ensure that the company’s IT landscape is secure, scalable and aligned with business objectives, while leading transformation initiatives that enhance performance, streamline processes and enable data-driven decision-making.

 What You Will Do:

• Lead digital transformation initiatives/roadmap that align technology investments with business strategy
• Manage and mentor a team of technology professionals while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning
• Oversee SAP Business One ERP system, providing first-line support and optimizing business processes
• Manage server infrastructure, networking systems, and ensure robust cybersecurity protocols
• Champion AI adoption and automation opportunities to streamline operations and enhance decision-making
• Ensuring seamless technology integration across locations
• Develop and maintain databases and Crystal Reports / Power BI for data-driven insights
• Partner with department heads to identify technology solutions that solve business challenges

Technical Experience:

• Proven experience with SAP Business One (or similar ERP systems)
• Strong knowledge of Power BI, SQL database management and Crystal Reports
• Server administration and network infrastructure management
• Microsoft 365 ecosystem and cloud technologies
• Understanding of AI applications in business contexts
• Experience managing cross-border or multi-location IT operations preferred

Qualification:

• HSC or equivalent
• Master degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, Digital Transformation or a related field
• Proven experience in leading digital transformation, data governance or enterprise systems projects
• Strong understanding of data analytics, business intelligence and data visualisation tools (Power BI)
• Experience with ERP, CRM and enterprise platforms, including system integration and optimisation
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and modern data architectures
• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, Scrum)
• Strong project and change management skills with the ability to drive organisational adoption
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into digital solutions
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels of the organisation
• Innovative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
• Pleasant, dynamic and outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills
