IT & Transformation Team About the Role Courts Mammouth is one of Mauritius’s largest retailers, currently undergoing a significant transformation across its systems, processes, and decision-making approach.

About the Role

Courts Mammouth is one of Mauritius’s largest retailers, currently undergoing a significant transformation across its systems, processes, and decision-making approach.

This is not a back-office role. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will sit at the centre of that transformation — working directly with department heads and the CEO, bridging the gap between business operations and technology delivery.

You will also play a key role in building and mentoring a growing Business Analysis function.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Puts people first and understands how work actually gets done on the ground
  • Focuses on real customer and business outcomes, not just process
  • Uses data to drive decisions and challenge assumptions
  • Moves quickly and makes sound decisions in fast-paced environments

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Analysis

  • Engage directly with teams across the business (branches, warehouse, buying, finance) to understand current operations and pain points
  • Translate business needs into clear, structured, and testable requirements
  • Manage multiple streams of work across departments while maintaining clarity and momentum
  • Distinguish between stakeholder requests and true business needs
  • Maintain full traceability of requirements from initial request through to delivery and validation

Process & Systems

  • Observe and map current processes based on real-world operations
  • Identify root causes of operational issues and inefficiencies
  • Design practical, adoptable future-state processes
  • Work hands-on with IT teams and vendors during system configuration and testing
  • Write and execute test cases, log defects, and follow through to resolution

Delivery & Governance

  • Own the full User Acceptance Testing (UAT) lifecycle
  • Act as the key decision-making link between business stakeholders and IT
  • Proactively identify risks and escalate with clear recommendations
  • Present project updates to leadership with insight and direction

People & Leadership

  • Line-manage and coach junior Business Analysts
  • Build templates, standards, and working methods for the Business Analysis function
  • Contribute to the long-term development of the team and capability

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • 6+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, including experience on live, multi-department system implementations
  • Proven hands-on experience writing requirements, process maps, and UAT test cases
  • Experience working directly with operational teams to understand real workflows
  • Strong stakeholder management, including the ability to challenge senior stakeholders constructively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French
  • Ability to analyse data independently and use it to support decision-making
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior team members

Advantageous

  • Experience in retail, logistics, supply chain, or multi-site operations
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central, Dynamics, or similar)
  • Exposure to warehouse management systems
  • Experience with customer feedback or NPS programmes
  • CBAP or equivalent certification

What to Expect

This role sits within a fast-changing environment where not everything is fully structured. You will encounter ambiguity, incomplete processes, and differing stakeholder perspectives.

Success in this role comes from:

  • Being comfortable operating without perfect information
  • Bringing clarity where there is none
  • Delivering practical solutions that the business will adopt.

Additional Information

  • Location: Courts Mammouth, Head Office, Bell Village, Mauritius (with regular site visits)
  • Type: Full-time, permanent
  • Reporting to: IT Manager (with visibility to CEO)
