Role Overview
The Corporate Communication Lead supports the development and execution of Ascencia’s communication across corporate, digital, internal and investor channels.
The objective is to strengthen Ascencia’s brand visibility and ensure consistent, clear and impactful communication to all stakeholders, including the public, media and investors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate & Brand Communication
- Support the implementation of Ascencia’s corporate communication strategy
- Contribute to strengthening the visibility of Ascencia as a corporate brand (beyond individual malls)
- Ensure consistency of messaging and brand identity across all communication materials
- Coordinate production of corporate materials (presentations, branded items, etc.)
2. Digital & Content Management
- Manage content across:
- Facebook
- LinkedIn (with adapted, more corporate messaging)
- Corporate website (updates, blog articles, SEO optimisation)
- Coordinate with agencies for content creation (visuals, videos, copywriting)
- Ensure content is relevant, engaging and aligned with Ascencia’s positioning
3. Financial & Investor Communication
- Support the preparation and dissemination of financial communications in line with regulatory requirements
- Coordinate publication of announcements on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius platform
- Assist in the preparation of:
- Results announcements
- Investor presentations
- Email communications to investors
- Support the organisation of:
- Investor briefings
- Annual Meeting of Shareholders
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial messaging
4. Public Relations & Stakeholder Engagement
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of press releases and corporate announcements
- Support relationships with media and external stakeholders
- Monitor media coverage and identify opportunities for visibility
5. Internal Communication
- Support internal communication initiatives across the company
- Prepare internal newsletters and key announcements
- Contribute to employee engagement through communication actions
6. Events, Sponsorship & Corporate Activities
- Support the organisation of corporate events and activations
- Coordinate participation in awards and external events
- Assist in managing sponsorships and ensuring proper brand visibility
Profile & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field
- 3–5 years’ experience in communications, PR or digital marketing
- Strong writing and communication skills in French and English
- Good understanding of digital platforms and content creation
- Familiarity with financial communication or listed company environment is an advantage
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive and hands-on mindset
