Shangri-La Le Touessrok, Mauritius is looking for a potential Commis 2 to join the Food Preparation team, who is able to produce the best quality food items available.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor food quality, receiving, storage and sanitation procedures for handling perishable items.
- Ensured food production matched forecasted demand, maintaining freshness, timely service, and minimal wastage.
- Monitor cleaning activities and ensure proper waste disposal without contaminating food.
- Check section inventories, address discrepancies with the Chef de Partie and monitor serveware for misuse or breakage.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Secondary School Certificate.
- 1-2 years of experience in the hotel sector, prior 5* hotel experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidate must be able to work rapidly during peak hours.
- Candidate must be flexible to work overtime according to business demands.
