DENTONS (MTIUS) LLP is recruiting a Client Liaison Officer.

 

Role

We are looking to hire an experienced Client Liaison Officer to join our team to assist, act as a primary point of

  • contact and handle administrative tasks such as correspondence and document preparation. The role may also
  • involve legal research, and client liaison. Key responsibilities include calendar management, client communication,
  • and preparing legal documents, all while maintaining strict confidentiality. If you are a dedicated professional with

  • Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary liaison between clients and the firm’s lawyers, ensuring timely communication and follow-up
  • on all client inquiries.
  • Support client onboarding, including gathering initial documentation, opening client files, and ensuring
  • compliance with firm protocols (e.g., KYC/AML procedures).
  • Coordinate appointments, case updates, and document exchanges between clients and barrister teams.
  • Perform research as and when required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records within the firm’s database and document management
  • systems.
  • Monitor case progress and ensure clients are informed of milestones, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Assist in preparing client correspondence, engagement letters, and billing support documentation.
  • Handle routine client communications professionally, escalating legal or sensitive matters to the relevant
  • barrister when necessary.
  • Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.

 

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Business Administration, Communications, or any related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in a client-facing or administrative coordination role, ideally within a law firm or
  • professional services environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and client service orientation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management or CRM software.
  • Understanding of basic legal procedures and confidentiality standards.

  • Ensure successful onboarding of clients in line with applicable laws.
  • Properly upload information into the system.
  • Proactively prepare and plan meetings with clients, ensuring effective communication of relevant information.
  • Take notes and draft concise minutes of meetings.
  • Prioritize workflow and ensure constant monitoring of files to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct research to enhance knowledge of clients' businesses and sectors.
  • Ensure client onboarding is completed accurately and on time.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
  • Exhibit strong planning, organizing, and coordinating skills with sound time management.
  • Possess an analytical mindset with the ability to produce accurate, clear, and concise work.
  • Efficiently juggle priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Be committed, confident, and results oriented.
  • Exercise sound judgment in resolving issues and making decisions.
  • Communicate fluently in English and French, both written and verbal.
  • Be a team player capable of effective collaboration.
  • Perform well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Be a quick learner with the ability to apply knowledge appropriately.
