Civil / Structural Engineer

DUTIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigations;
• Using a range of computer software for developing detailed designs;
• Undertaking complex calculations;
• Liaising with a variety of professionals including architects and subcontractors;
• Compiling job specs and supervising tendering procedures;
• Make calculations about pressures, loads and stresses;
• Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction;
• Analyze configurations of the basic components of a structure;
• Monitor and inspect all work undertaken by contractors to ensure structural soundness;
• Use computer aided design technology for simulation purposes;
• To perform drafting (using Auto cad for drawing structural layout and reinforcement

• drawings)
• Any other cognate duties

QUALIFICATIONS

• B. Eng (Hons) Civil or Structural Engineering
• Registered with Council of Professional Engineers

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years of postgraduate working experience

At least 2 years of post-registration experience
