Reporting to the Managing Director, the Job Holder shall be responsible for the development and implementation of Business strategies and deliver results as per the business plan approved by the Board. He/She shall ensure that capacity and resources are maximised at the best margin.

 

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Job Holder shall be responsible for the development and implementation of Business strategies and deliver results as per the business plan approved by the Board. He/She shall ensure that capacity and resources are maximised at the best margin.  The Job Incumbent also helps in defining organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market.

 Main Duties Include:

  • Screens potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements, evaluating all option and recommending equity investments.
  • Analyses the strengths, weaknesses and threats of the competition as to better define the competitor’s potential responses and setbacks in handling/developing any new service and/or product.
  • Prepares feasibility studies for new projects including financing structure and payback.
  • Discusses appropriate financial reporting and control systems / structures for projects with financial team for compliance with established reporting structures.
  • Develops and gains the MD’s approval to plans and strategies as well as budgets for Business Development which meet the Business Unit’s objectives including investment, expansion and strategic alliances
  • Participates in commercial/business negotiations.
  • Effective implementation of projects by ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget through proper follow ups and reporting mechanisms.

 Work Experience, Qualifications and Other Requirements:

-         A minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar position in a dynamic commercial environment.

-         A Degree in Marketing/Finance/Business Administration or related field.

-         A high level of expertise in his/her field, good technical knowledge of Marketing and Project Management, together with strong people management and interpersonal skills.

-         Good knowledge of the local/regional market.

-         Excellent analytical skills.

-         Ability to develop, plan and implement short to long term goals.

-         Ability to maintain high standards of corporate governance principles.
