The Business Development Executive – SME will promote SME solutions to corporate and small business clients, managing a portfolio focused on strong, long-term relationships. The role involves delivering reliable service and guiding business owners toward the right financial solutions to support their growth in a changing environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue and annual sales targets.
- Build and grow a profitable SME portfolio by identifying new and existing business opportunities.
- Maintain strong knowledge of SME market trends, industry developments, and competitive landscape.
- Promote the full range of products to customers and support new product initiatives.
- Prepare and submit complete technical files, ensuring accurate customer documentation and KYC compliance.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders for timely approval of sales files and follow up on credit processes.
- Report sales performance regularly and share updates during monthly meetings.
- Provide timely responses to client and internal stakeholder queries within agreed SLAs.
- Represent the company at corporate events, fairs, workshops, and webinars to promote offerings and expand the client base.
- Contribute to the development of sales and marketing strategies with the SME Manager and Head of SME.
- Ensure smooth service continuity through proper handovers during absences.
- Perform other related duties in support of the Business Unit.
Profile
- Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; experience in the factoring industry is an advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales.

- Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of SME environments
- Customer‑centric mindset with a passion for building long‑term relationships
- Excellent negotiation and persuasive skills
- Confident engaging with business leaders across diverse industries
- Good understanding of regulatory guidelines
- Ability to assess credit risk effectively
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interpret financial statements
- Holder of a valid driving licence
