B2B & B2C PROJECTS ENGINEER

TotalEnergies Marketing Mauritius Ltd is looking for a B2B & B2C Projects Engineer!

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the B2B & B2C Projects Manager, the potential candidate will be responsible for the following:

HSSEQ:

• Comply with and promote HSSEQ rules (legislation, policies, standards, and procedures) in place at TotalEnergies Marketing Mauritius Ltd (TEMML) at all times and ensure that all related stakeholders respect same.
• Participate in audits and site safety visits.

OPERATIONS:

• Provide technical & Project feasibility analysis, drawings, preliminary costing & timeline to enable concerned departments to propose investment projects.
• Define and write up the scope of works, materials and services required for the realisation of approved projects and liaise with Procurement department to launch tenders or requests for quotation accordingly.
• Check and compare the offers of contractors and suppliers from a technical & Project point of view and participate in the selection stage in collaboration with Procurement.
• Prepare contracts together with the Procurement and Legal teams and ensure their subsequent monitoring as contract owner.
• Manage the execution of assigned projects within objectives set, budget allocated, quality and defined timeframe.
• Conduct project reviews with minutes of meeting at various stages in line with the project and change management procedure.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders from initiation until closure of projects.
• Perform the commissioning of projects with snagging reports closed within reasonable time frame.
• Inform the Finance department whenever a new asset is put in service, or an existing asset is decommissioned/scrapped.
• Keep traceability of projects from initiation stage up to handing over to Maintenance department and the end user.
• Assess the performance of contractors in terms, of HSE, quality and timeline and ensure regular follow-up meetings and contract monitoring.
• Participate in the elaboration of the budget envelope for the B2C & B2B projects and follow up the commitment/liquidation of the budget.
• Realise disinvestment projects in line with both local legislation and TotalEnergies’ environment impact assessment standard.
• Participate actively in the project monitoring committee for development and upgrading projects on both B2C and B2B perimeter.
• Assist the B2B & B2C Projects Manager in drafting of project management procedures.
• Ensure proper inventory management of equipment and materials to be used in projects.
• Feed and track projects KPIs.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Mechatronics Engineering
• Project Management skills which include planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk assessment, and resource allocation
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to anticipate problems which may arise
• Proficient in MS Office package (Proficiency in MS Project is an advantage)
• Ability to interpret blueprints, design and technical specifications and be proficient in CAD drawing for creation or modification of designs
• Clean and valid private vehicle driving license
• Good communication, presentation, problem-solving, leadership and negotiation skills
• A keen eye for detail is essential to ensure that projects meet all specifications and quality standards.
• Strong time management skills to juggle multiple projects/ task at a time
• Enthusiastic and proven ability of being a good team player
• Willing to work odd hours
• Fluent in both English and French.
