Associate Engineer – Core network

To plan, design, implement, validate and optimize Emtel’s Core Network (CS/PS/Fixed/IMS). The scope includes, but is not limited to, mobile technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G NSA/IMS), Fixed Access technologies, and network evolution strategy towards 5G.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor and improve the Core Network KPIs
• Ensure business continuity by minimizing service disruptions
• Implement projects for Core Network as per business requirements for new deployment/expansions/modifications as per business objectives
• Ensure Core Network configuration documents and plans are updated with changes done on the core systems
• Ensure reports are prepared as required and all changes are documented for reference purposes
• Perform optimization of the Core Network
• Take proactive actions to ensure maximum network availability for Core Nodes and minimum occurrence of outages.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication or a related field
• Cisco/CCNA certification will be an advantage
• Knowledge on current network routing protocols and standards

Required Skills and Aptitudes:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Familiar with Microsoft products
• Team oriented person
