Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Maintenance Manager located in Le Morne. The Assistant Maintenance Manager will manage the preventive maintenance program, supervise maintenance staff, manage maintenance, and repair activities, and maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar capacity in a 5 star hotel
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, Facility (Operations) Management, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance and facilities operations
• In-depth knowledge of MEP - Mechanical/Electrical and Plumbing
• Knowledge of Air Condition and Refrigeration system
• Knowledge of Fire Fighting and Fire Alarm System and (FLS) program.
• Strong Awareness and understanding of Risk Assessment and Health and Safety practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, contractors, and vendors.
• Supervisory Skills, including personnel management, delegation, and training.
• Equipment Maintenance experience, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintenance Management experience, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage work orders, schedule staff, and maintain inventory.
• Maintenance & Repair experience, with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and equipment.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Candidates should be legally eligible to live and work in Mauritius.
