In this role, you will work closely with the Landscaping Manager to maintain and enhance the resort's stunning tropical grounds, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests.

 

Job Description

  • Assist in planning, designing, and implementing landscaping projects throughout the resort
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the landscaping team
  • Manage plant care, including watering, fertilizing, pruning, and pest control
  • Oversee the maintenance of landscaping equipment
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure landscaping aligns with resort events and guest needs
  • Contribute to budget planning and cost control for landscaping projects
  • Implement sustainable landscaping practices to support the resort's eco-friendly initiatives
  • Train and mentor landscaping staff to maintain high standards of work
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and resort policies
  • Assist in creating and maintaining detailed landscaping records and reports

Qualifications

  • Certificate/ Diploma in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in landscaping or horticulture
  • Fluent in English and Creole Language
  • Previous supervisory experience in landscaping or related field
  • Certified Landscape Technician or equivalent certification preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of tropical plants and landscaping techniques
  • Proficiency in landscape design and maintenance practices
  • Strong skills in irrigation systems management and pest control
  • Experience with budget management and project planning
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • Understanding of sustainable landscaping practices
  • Familiarity with luxury resort or hospitality landscaping standards
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
