Assistant Accountant

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing accounting and administrative duties. You will support our business growth and accounting department by processing invoices, transactions, and expenses as well as updating our accounting database.

 

Responsibilities
  • Verify the accuracy, completeness and validity of invoices and other accounting documents
  • Capturing data with a high level of accuracy on the accounting software
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation discrepancies
  • Handle accounts payable, receivable and general accounts queries
  • Reconcile supplier and customer statements
  • Reconcile bank statements with general ledger
  • Provide administrative support to other departments
  • Execute any other cognate duties as required
Qualifications and Experiences:
  • Minimum ACCA Level 1 and/ or Diploma or Degree Holder in Accounting / Finance
  • Good communication skills - English and French
  • Good knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems and/or ERP - NetSuite (Oracle) is preferable (not required)
  • Good planning and organising skills
  • Have analytical skills and pays attention to small details
  • Good team player with the ability to work independently
  • Competency in MS Office (such as MS Excel)
