The Airport Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all airport operations run seamlessly and reflect the company’s signature standards of excellence. This role requires a hands-on leader with exceptional organizational, communication, and people-management skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire scope of airport counter operations to guarantee smooth arrivals and departures.

  • Manage staff rosters and monitor attendance to maintain optimal coverage across all shifts.

  • Supervise daily operations and ensure that all established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are strictly followed — both company-wide and for specific tour operators' requirements.

  • Act as the guardian of Emotions’ operational excellence at the airport, ensuring that every service reflects the company’s values and quality promise.

  • Conduct regular quality control checks and complies with safety and comfort criteria.

  • Lead, train, and mentor airport staff and shift leaders to ensure consistency in service delivery.

  • Quick-witted and solution-oriented in managing crisis situations such as unexpected arrivals, delays, or excess luggage amongst others.

  • Ensure smooth coordination between the airport team, operations, transport, and reservations departments.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be:

  • Experienced in airport or tourism operations management.

  • Reliable, disciplined, and detail-oriented with strong leadership skills.

  • Fluent in English and French, both spoken and written & computer literate

  • Proficient in report writing and capable of designing and implementing operational procedures.

  • A true team player who inspires collaboration and cohesion.

  • Impeccably presented, courteous, and professional at all times.

  • Passionate about maintaining the highest quality standards across all aspects of airport operations.
