We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced accounting professional to join our Accounts and Finance team. The role combines hands-on accounting execution with oversight, reporting, compliance, and team support responsibilities.
Maintain, oversee, and review accounting postings and entries in accounting software.
Perform and review bank reconciliations.
Process and oversee invoices, payments, expense reports, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Prepare and review journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
Assist in and lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
Prepare, review, and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports in accordance with IFRS.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, FSC requirements, and other applicable regulatory obligations.
Handle accounting, reporting, and compliance requirements for Global Business Companies (GBCs).
Manage Mauritius tax compliance for applicable entities, including Corporate Income Tax, Partial Exemption Regime, and related filings.
Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, management companies, and regulators.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as required by management.
Supervise, review, and mentor junior accounting staff where applicable.
Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information.
Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by management.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
ACCA qualified or partly qualified (depending on seniority).
Relevant accounting experience ranging from junior to senior level, with exposure to GBC accounting and reporting considered a strong advantage.
Solid understanding of accounting principles, including accruals, prepayments, and financial reporting.
Working knowledge of IFRS and Mauritius regulatory and tax requirements (for senior responsibilities).
Proven experience with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
