Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Accounts Officer includes the processing and the reconciliation of entries for accurate management accounts.
Main Responsibilities:
- Record journal entries to ensure all business transactions are accurately captured and complete.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of sub-ledger accounts.
- Prepare and issue cheques, and initiate payments via internet banking.
- Set up and monitor standing orders for pensioners, including necessary follow-ups.
- Process commission payments for agents and banks and address related queries.
- Support both internal and external auditors during audit engagements.
- Verify and process investment-related data.
- Carry out any other related duties as assigned by the Manager.
Job Requirements:
- HSC or an equivalent qualification.
- ACCA Level 1.
- At least 2-year relevant working experience in a similar position.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to work in a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Positive attitude and result oriented.
- Fully conversant with MS Office Tools.
