The purpose of the Accounts Officer includes the processing and the reconciliation of entries for accurate management accounts.

 

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the Accounts Officer includes the processing and the reconciliation of entries for accurate management accounts.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Record journal entries to ensure all business transactions are accurately captured and complete.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of sub-ledger accounts. 
  • Prepare and issue cheques, and initiate payments via internet banking. 
  • Set up and monitor standing orders for pensioners, including necessary follow-ups.
  • Process commission payments for agents and banks and address related queries.
  • Support both internal and external auditors during audit engagements.
  • Verify and process investment-related data. 
  • Carry out any other related duties as assigned by the Manager. 

Job Requirements:

  • HSC or an equivalent qualification.
  • ACCA Level 1.
  • At least 2-year relevant working experience in a similar position.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Positive attitude and result oriented.
  • Fully conversant with MS Office Tools.
