Accounts Assistant

The Accounts Assistant will provide assistance to the finance department in its daily task.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and submit customer invoices.
  2. Process invoices and payments on the ERP (NetSuite).
  3. Perform reconciliations.
  4. Liaise with creditors for pending invoices.
  5. Monitor debtors ageing.
  6. Update, verify and maintain accounting journals and ledgers and other financial records on the ERP (NetSuite).
  7. Assist in month-end reporting procedure.
  8. Maintain and audit petty cash.
  9. Perform stock counts, as and when required.
  10. Assist auditors during audit period and provide relevant documents when required.
  11. Assist in preparation of VAT, TDS and related statements / return for timely submission.
  12. Record and maintain employees timesheets.
  13. Prepare payroll for workers.
  14. Monitor and report on absenteeism.
  15. Ensure proper and updated filing of documents.
  16. Prepare and share reports as per instructions.
Profile:
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • A comprehensive understanding of IFRS and corporate procedures.
  • Excellent organisational skills including planning, prioritising and meeting deadlines.
  • Dynamic good interpersonal, results-driven approach, analytical skills, proactive and detail oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Qualifications:
  • Post HSC, BSC Accounting / Accounting & Finance or any equivalent qualification.
  • ACCA qualifications desirable.
  • At least two (2) years of work experience.
