Accounting Manager (1745-ACCMGR)

Our Client is among the largest global oil and gas service providers in the world. The company operates in over 100 countries and has a network of approximately 1,000 locations, including manufacturing,service,research and development and training facilities and employs approximately 31,000 people.

Our Client is seeking to recruit an Accounting Manager for its operations.  The candidate will supervise the Accountant/Administrator and report into the Finance Department.

Responsibilities:

. Responsible for recording accounting activity and preparing statutory financial statements for the company's leasing activity in Mauritius and investment holdings

. Daily accounting tasks required for the specific activities and supporting the monthly, quarterly and annual close for the Mauritius Office

. Interacting extensively with the company's external auditors

. Ensure internal and external due dates for statutory reporting and tax obligations are met

. Liaise on a regular basis with the company's global leasing accounting and finance staff

. Calculation of monthly lease fees and related invoicing

. Daily accounting tasks including maintenance of local statutory books

. Preparation of annual statutory financial statements

. All tax compliance

.Treasury and banking functions

. Collection of lease receivables

. Liaise with legal advisors, tax advisors, tax authorities and other government authorities 

. Preparation of periodic management reports

Profile:

. A degree in Accounting/Professional Level ACCA qualification at a minimum

. At least 5 years of experience in Accounting/Finance/Tax

. Fixed asset accounting experience would be an advantage

. Effective verbal and written communication in English

. Advanced user of MS Office

. Knowledge of JD Edwards would be an advantage
