The Accountant and Administrator shall manage daily office operations while maintaining accurate financial records.
The Accountant and administrator shall be:
- Maintaining accurate financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. IRFS), rules, regulations, and systems of internal control
- Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
- Performing Bank reconciliations and updating fixed assets register
- Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information
- Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes
- Assist with and act as the primary point-of-contact for auditor requests
- Organized sales and profit reports.
- Oversee costing of raw materials and finished goods to ensure accurate cost of production.
- Monitor and control daily production yields, including wastage tracking and variance analysis.
- Coordinate monthly and surprise stock counts for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
- Analyse stock discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to strengthen internal controls.
- Ensure proper inventory valuation in line with accounting standards and company policies.
- Work closely with operations team to ensure efficient use of resources and reduction of production costs
- Conduct routine and annual audit.
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Manage accounting teams and ensure that all accounting records were complete and accurate.
- Managed accounts by analyzing costs and revenues.
- Ensure adherence to Group Companies’ Policies.
- Prepare Monthly Management Accounts.
- Prepare and File statutory returns (Income tax, VAT, TDS, CSG, PAYE and PRGF) to Authorities.
- Any other cognate duties.
