Future Tech is a newly established company providing outsourcing facilities to our already established overseas-based clients specialising in the provision of financial services.

 

The Accountant is responsible for the company’s financial activities including payroll processing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliation of accounts, and financial reporting. This position works closely with the Managing Director, the Head of HR, the external accountant and other Operations staff.

 

Duties

·  Assist with implementation and maintenance of the company’s accounting system;

·  Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner and create necessary accounting entries;

·  Maintain accounts payable, ensuring timely payment of invoices;

·  Maintain accounts receivable, ensuring receivables are collected promptly;

·  Identify and pay taxes and deductions according to required timelines;

·  Monitor company credit card use and make necessary entries in the ledger;

·  Maintain accurate accounting records ensuring adherence with internal control procedures;

·  Calculating and reconciling depreciation of fixed assets;

·  Post journal entries in the general ledger on a timely basis to record all expenses, income, provisions and accruals;

·  Perform account/bank reconciliations on a regular basis and report on discrepancies;

·  Maintain the company cash flow on a daily basis;

·  Assist Operations managers with the creation of company budgets;

·  Prepare financial, regulatory and management reports in accordance with reporting standards and deadlines;

·  Provide information, as directed, to the company’s external accountant/auditor;

·  Assist in yearly audits;

·  Assist in daily banking requirements;

·  Liaise with authorities and banks as and when required;

·  Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

·  Bachelor degree in Accounting/ Finance or/and Level2+ ACCA.    

·  Fully conversant with Microsoft office

·  Highly proficient with Excel and an accounting package

·  Minimum of 3 years’ experience in payroll and bookkeeping

·  Good communications (oral and written)
