The job incumbent is responsible for the management of the bank’s interest rate position daily as well as on a longer-term horizon. He/she will Identify Balance Sheet engineering opportunities and propose required actions to exploit such opportunities or hedge unwanted risks.
Key responsibilities:
- Quote sales teams interest rates for various bank facilities using the bank proprietary model.
- Propose proactive actions/trades to manage/mitigate interest rate risks the bank faces.
- Conduct stress tests on interest rate for the bank and propose new simulation models in this respect.
- Work closely with ALM Lead/Head of Treasury.
- Adhering to the bank’s policies and procedures regarding treasury & risk management activities.
- Work on ad-hoc projects for product pricing & competitor pricing analysis.
- Preparation of selective slides for ALCO & assist the desk in other related reporting.
- Maintain business relationship with counterparties.
- Contribute towards set budget goals.
- Ensuring all activities are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements.

Experience and Qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant field.
- ACI Dealing Certificate/Diploma, and post graduate degree is an advantage.
- Prior work experience in an ALM and rates environment.
