Our client is seeking to recruit a passionate and authentic professional dedicated to a service of excellence to take up the challenge as Accountant.

Responsibilities:

• Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation; assist the company in the preparation of budget.
• Prepare the balance sheet and the strategic plan.
• Analyse revenue and expenditure trends and recommends appropriate budget levels, and ensures expenditure control.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Produce monthly reporting on variance.
• Reconcile takings and banking daily.
• Prepare and pay tax returns.
• Prepare balance sheet, quarter and annual budget, consolidation of P&L.
• Approve purchase order and payments.
• Ensure books and records are kept as per standards and all financial practices are legal and within guidelines in state laws.
• Ensure all relevant audits recommendations are implemented and adopted within standard procedures.
• Ensure proper and timely recording of all transactions daily.
• Maintains and coordinates the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
• Ensures compliance to accounting standards and statutory requirements.

Profile:

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, accounts, ACCA, CIMA or Chartered Accountant.
• At least 3 years working experience in a similar position.
• Computer literate and have an excellent working knowledge of accounting software packages.
• Good leadership and management skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to complete tasks, projects and assignments with quality and dynamism.
• Team player with a high team spirit.
• Adhere to laid down systems procedures and quality standards.
• Ability to work under pressure.
