Our client is seeking to recruit a passionate and authentic professional dedicated to a service of excellence to take up the challenge as Accountant.
Responsibilities:
- Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation; assist the company in the preparation of budget.
- Prepare the balance sheet and the strategic plan.
- Analyse revenue and expenditure trends and recommends appropriate budget levels, and ensures expenditure control.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Produce monthly reporting on variance.
- Reconcile takings and banking daily.
- Prepare and pay tax returns.
- Prepare balance sheet, quarter and annual budget, consolidation of P&L.
- Approve purchase order and payments.
- Ensure books and records are kept as per standards and all financial practices are legal and within guidelines in state laws.
- Ensure all relevant audits recommendations are implemented and adopted within standard procedures.
- Ensure proper and timely recording of all transactions daily.
- Maintains and coordinates the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
- Ensures compliance to accounting standards and statutory requirements.
Profile:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, accounts, ACCA, CIMA or Chartered Accountant.
- At least 3 years working experience in a similar position.
- Computer literate and have an excellent working knowledge of accounting software packages.
- Good leadership and management skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to complete tasks, projects and assignments with quality and dynamism.
- Team player with a high team spirit.
- Adhere to laid down systems procedures and quality standards.
- Ability to work under pressure.
