The Accountant will report to the Finance and Administrative Manager. The Accountant will assist the Finance department to deal with all accounting and finance functions of the various companies, support any member of the organization and / or partners with their financial needs.

 

Responsibilities
Implementation and maintenance of computerized accounting system and overall responsibility of accounting records and supervision of Accounts Staffs;
Preparation of annual budgets and cash flows including regular updating and reviewing as required;
Coordinate, prepare and analyze monthly management accounts/reports and prepare variance analysis of deviation against budget by the 20th of each month;
Prepare project Allowances and Job Costing/Cost Sheets with updated job inputs;
Set up, implement and maintain internal control systems;
Manage and control office supplies and external services procurement;
Perform cost / benefit analysis on any item;
Follow up and maintain Management Information Reporting Systems for overseas businesses;
Prepare Annual Financial Statements;
Ensure that all financial regulatory requirements of both onshore and offshore companies are attended to and filed timeously;
Coordinate banking activities for both onshore and offshore companies;
Maintain Fixed Asset Register;
Take responsible for petty cash;
Review bank statements and reconcile all discrepancies;
Set up and maintain internal controls.

Profile
Degree in Accounting and / or ACCA Level 3;
Excellent knowledge of accounting softwares (Sage 300 ERP & Sicorax);
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position;
Flexible who can adapt seamlessly to constantly evolving accounting processes and technology
High level of numeracy;
Ability to explain complex financial information in a clear way;
Accuracy;
Good oral and written communication skills;
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels including non finance members of staff;
Honest and ability to remain impartial;
A lively and enquiring mind with a logical approach to work, combined with analytical and problem solving skills;
Sound knowledge of MS Office;
Discrete and ethical;
Organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
