Treasury Manager

The Treasury Manager will be responsible for the smooth running of the Treasury department and managing the Treasury team.

 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Design and lead the implementation of treasury related policies, processes, and projects
  • Ensure the department is operating efficiently and coherently
  • Ensure that liquidity status of the group / clients is known at all times, that forecasts are in place to ensure no liquidity gap
  • Identify and provide for the training needs for the team
  • Be on top of daily activities and manage any risks before these escalate
  • Own the entire portfolio of activities within the Treasury department, and understand the needs of the respective internal & external stakeholders
  • Design, document, and implement controls & operating procedures for the department & teams to ensure adherence and compliance with all rules and regulations applicable.
  • Ensure all payment instructions are processed or explained
  • Have oversight over the operation of all bank and other related accounts
  • Report internally in line with policies on STR, AML, etc
  • Design controls to monitor Group and AMSL assets.
  • Monitor Client, Group and AMSL cashflow against budgets / forecasts
  • Put in place controls to ensure time /activity recording
  • Ensure relevant data is provided to Finance and other teams to enable proper functioning
  • Represent Treasury at Management Committees.

 Education, Qualification, Knowledge & Skills

  • Relevant degree in Finance, Law, Management or Financial-related subject;
  • Qualified accountant (desirable);
  • Familiarity with Bank back office payment
  • Familiarity with offshore 
  • Understanding of the regulatory framework and requirements of the role;
  • Proven experience operating in similar capacity and/or in senior management team;
  • Ability to manage and lead a team to drive efficiency and results
  • Self-starter, able to work under pressure, multi-task
  • Ability to design and implement a strong risk framework for the department
  • An eye for detail with the ability to see the forest for the trees
  • Project management experience and good time management skills
  • Manage difficult stakeholders
  • Client focussed
