General logistics position, new Mauritius office for multinational company. You will have to develop the brand i Mauritius.

Staff member will be required to:

• Liase with customs clearance broker on import and export shipments
• Liase with outsourced driver company to arrange deliveries and collections
• Liase with company owners in South Africa regarding charging, accounting and operational issues
• Work with local and international customers and suppliers

Profile:

• Applicant will need to have 5 years’ experience in the Mauritian courier / air cargo industry
• Own transport, good knowledge of the local sales and business environment
• A willingness to develop the brand in Mauritius.
• A strong emphasis on sales to local companies looking for an international import / export courier would be a distinct advantage.
• Knowledge of agents and market in Madagascar / Reunion a distinct advantage.
• Knowledge of budgeting and basic accounting also an advantage.
• Will require excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written
• Computer knowledge of the basics – word / excel / email, etc
