Management of the IT infrastructure including hardware, software, facilities, and service components that support the delivery of business systems and IT-enabled processes
To be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of the IT infrastructure including:
- Application Services: configuring, and providing access to all offered applications
- Software and hardware services: including the handling of requests for new/replacement and fixing existing equipment
- Infrastructure Services: configuring and maintaining network infrastructure User Support: Including devices, such as desktops, laptops, terminals, scanners, tablets, phones, etc.
- To comply with, promote and implement applicable IT security in relation to the IT Infrastructure
- To work continuously on a task until completion and respond within agreed time limits to call-outs/follow ups across sites
- To manage crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems
- To keep an inventory of all hardware and software resources and assets
- To maintain all SLA’s and licenses related to the IT Infrastructure
- To formulate IT Policies and protocols and maintain good technical documentation and SOP.
- To work closely with business partners ensuring good customer service.
- To report any defective IT infrastructure/hardware to management for remedial action
- To submit reports as and when required
- To monitor and perform Anti-Virus and Backup procedures
- To carry out commissioning of new equipment with Suppliers
To perform such other duties directly related to the main duties listed above or related to the delivery of the output and results expected from the IT Infrastructure Support and Service Technician.
Internal –All Managers, all IT/ Computer Users
External – Company guests and visitors requiring IT/Computer services, Service Providers, suppliers, regulators.
- SC/ HSC; Recognized degree in Information Technology or any IT related field.
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) or any other equivalent qualification.
- Post graduate qualifications in IT related fields will be a definite advantage
- Strong analytical, planning and interpersonal skills and attention to details
- Problems diagnosing and solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure, to meet tight deadlines and multitasking
- Project Management skills will constitute an advantage
- Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality
- Highly focused and goal driven
- Minimum of three years’ experience at IT Technician level.
- Three years’ experience in networks, database and systems.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Previous experience in the automotive sector will constitute an advantage.
Up to date knowledge of IT applications and Systems
