Trainee HVAC Engineer

The HVAC Trainee Engineer supports senior engineers in the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

The HVAC Trainee Engineer supports senior engineers in the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This entry-level role provides hands-on training and exposure to industry practices, preparing the trainee for independent responsibilities in HVAC engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in installing HVAC systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Participate in routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Support senior engineers in load calculations, system design, and drafting technical drawings.
• Prepare service reports, maintain records, and update project documentation.
• Learn and apply safety standards, building codes, and energy efficiency regulations.
• Shadow senior staff during client meetings to understand requirements and provide basic support.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
• Fresh graduate or candidate with up to 1 year of relevant internship/experience.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

• Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
• Familiarity with HVAC components (compressors, ducts, chillers, boilers).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Working conditions:

• Office based in Industrial Zone, Jin Fei, Riche Terre
• Working Hours: 08H30 to 17H00 (Monday to Friday) 08H30 to 13H00 (Saturdays)
