Site Engineer

“Join our team as a Civil Engineer/Site Supervisor and play a key role in delivering high-quality construction projects. You’ll oversee site operations, coordinate teams, ensure safety and quality standards, and help drive projects to completion on time and within budget

Main responsibilities:

1. Quality

• To ensure the company’s Quality Assurance System is implemented
• To ensure quality of the works is monitored for all activities on the site
• To ensure all materials used by the Company and subcontractors have been approved and record of all such approval are kept
• To ensure all necessary test on completion are performed sufficiently well in advance

2. Planning

• To draw short and long term programme for all sections
• To closely monitor progress and take necessary measures to ensure progress does not fall behind programme
• To compile all Bar Bending Schedule timeously
• To ensure areas are safe and ready for subcontractors to be given access timeously

3. Contractual

• To assist to prepare and monitor time bars on contractual notifications and claims.

4. General

• To prepare all necessary reports (Progress reports, meeting reports etc.)
• To do liaison with Client, Consultants and Subcontractors
• To assist in resolving all technical and site issues
• To issue correspondences after reviewing with the relevant parties where required
• To assist Construction Surveyor and Site Manager in preparing claims
• To assist the Procurement Department to follow up with order of materials
• To ensure Health and Safety policies are being implemented on site
• To ensure that the project meets agreed specifications, budgets and timescales

Qualification & Experience

• Degree in Civil Engineering (structural, construction, building or related) or equivalent
• Minimum 1 or 2 years of working experience in building construction or related
• Deep knowledge of engineering and construction
• Proficient with MS Office, AutoCAD and MS Project
