Working under the supervision of the Technical Manager and the assigned Team Supervisor, the Service Technician/Skilled Worker is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain lifts and escalators.
The incumbent will be required to both take direction and work intuitively to support the completion of the department’s goals and objectives in a professionally and culturally appropriate manner
Responsibilities:
- Supervision and project management on installation of lifts and escalators, mechanical and electrical works, shaft lights and electrical power.
- Manage and Supervise maintenance, call back, repair services to already installed lifts and escalators.
- ensure installed lifts and escalators are well maintained and safe for public use, following Schindler Maintenance Quality Standard.
- attend to lifts’/escalators’ trouble calls when necessary.
- perform technical assessment on lifts’/escalators’ condition to anticipate any possible technical problems that will impact lifts’/escalators’ reliability and availability.
- report regularly lifts’/escalators’ status to team supervisor.
- improve working efficiency and reduce labour cost.
- finish other tasks assigned by team supervisor.
- Carry out any works related to lifts and escalators as assigned by managers and supervisors.
- Organising, stacking, transporting, and storing lift/escalator parts in store.
- General good housekeeping of store and workshop.
Qualifications:
- Vocational Course graduate preferably in Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics (such as Higher National Diploma in Applied Mechanical and Electrical Engineering/Higher National Diploma in Applied Electrical and Electronic Engineering/
Brevet de Technicien Superiere (BTS) en Electrotechnique - (Electrotechnics)) - Experience in related field will be an advantage.
