The Trainee will provide support to the Internal Audit Team in continuity of the audit work in line with the audit plan as approved by the Audit committee.

 

The Trainee will provide support to the Internal Audit Team in continuity of the audit work in line with the audit plan as approved by the Audit committee.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct internal auditing work competently as assigned by the Senior members of the Internal Audit team.
  • Performing audit tests, identifying audit exceptions and communicating results of tests to Senior members.
  • Documenting audit workpapers including process description, associated risks, root cause analysis, controls and results of test procedures.
  • Perform follow up of open audit issues.
  • Adhere to the requirements of IIA on integrity, objectivity, confidentiality and competency.

PREREQUISITES:

  • Degree holder in field of: Accounting, Finance or Audit
  • ACCA Partly Qualified would be an advantage;
  • Internship experience preferably in the financial services sector including banking or insurance

  • Ability to operate in a challenging and dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated with a strong technical background
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent organisational and planning capabilities
  • Strong oral, presentation and written communication skills
  • Adherence to the professional code of ethics;
  • Team player, self-motivated and well organised;
  • Good analytical skills; and
  • Prepared to go extra miles to meet deadline.
