Our client is looking for a Logistics Officer who will report to the Customer Service Lead.
Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Coordination - Facilitate seamless import/export processes to ensure operational continuity.
- Act as the primary liaison between Logistics and Marketing to align supply chain capabilities with sales goals.
- Build and maintain good relationship with stakeholders such as brokers, shipping lines, warehouses, and transporters.
- Prepare export invoices for customs formalities and verify accuracy of Bills of Lading and other external documents.
- Ensure timely receipt of release orders to prevent stuffing delays; upload stuffing/packer reports and manage shortship exception reporting.
- Coordinate with Finance for Sales Invoice follow-ups and approve supplier logistics invoices.
- Maintain real-time data integrity by creating/updating vessel voyages and tracking ETA/ETD.
- Proactively manage demurrage and storage risks; conduct cost-reporting analysis and oversee marine insurance reporting.
- Monitor trucking company loading capacities to ensure transport efficiency.
- Track inbound shipments to eliminate arrival and clearance delays.
Profile:
- HSC.
- At least 2 to 4 years of proven experience in logistics operations, freight forwarding, or procurement.
- Demonstrated experience in handling Customs Formalities, international shipping documentation (Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin), and vendor management.
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite will be a strong advantage for managing vessels, voyages, and updating logistics costs.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) for daily reporting and cost analysis.
- Solid understanding of Incoterms 2020, Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) customs regulations, and international maritime trade laws.
- Conversant with all logistics operations.
