Job Summary:
The Cashier is responsible for accurately processing customer transactions while delivering excellent customer service. The role ensures proper cash handling, efficient payment processing, and a smooth checkout experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Process transactions accurately using the POS system
Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments
Issue receipts, refunds, and correct change as required
Maintain a clean and organized cashier area
Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift
Assist customers with queries or direct them to the appropriate team member
Follow company policies and procedures for cash handling and security
Report discrepancies or operational issues to the supervisor
Support basic sales and customer service activities when needed
Requirements & Qualifications:
Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is preferred
Basic math and computer skills
Familiarity with POS systems
Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
