The Handyman / General Worker is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of buildings, equipment, and facilities. The role ensures that the property remains safe, clean, and in good working condition.
Conduct daily facility inspections
Identify and report safety hazards
Ensure fire exits and safety equipment are accessible
Replace damaged safety signs
Service and clean tools regularly
Perform minor repairs on machinery and equipment
Monitor water pumps, generators, and compressors
Check electrical panels and breakers
Clean gutters and drains
Repair fencing and gates
Maintain parking areas and walkways
Pressure wash walls and pavements
Assist with landscaping tasks (cutting grass, trimming bushes)
Install shelves, cabinets, curtain rails
Assemble office or household furniture
Install blinds and notice boards
Mount TVs, whiteboards, and fixtures
Receive and store maintenance supplies
Keep inventory of tools and materials
Assist contractors during major repairs
Work overtime during emergencies if required
Complete maintenance request forms
Maintain job logs and reports
Follow company maintenance schedules
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies
