The Assistant Digital Software Developer will support the cost consultancy team by developing automation tools, scripts, data processes and digital solutions that increase efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across cost management operations.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Automation & Script Development

  • Build automation tools using Python, Excel VBA, SQL, and related technologies.
  • Automate repetitive Cost Consultant tasks, including:
    • BOQ formatting
    • Data extraction, validation, and model data processing
    • Cost plan updates
    • Valuation comparison sheets
    • Document version checks and compliance monitoring.

2. Data Processing & Integration

  • Create dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI, Excel, or custom scripts.
  • Extract and process data from Autodesk, SharePoint, models, and other systems.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of internal databases and structured data templates.

3. Digital Support to the Cost Consultancy Team

  • Collaborate with the Cost Consultancy team members to understand business needs and convert them into digital solutions.
  • Assist in developing measurement tools, automated checks, and calculation logic.
  • Prepare documentation and provide basic training to help the Cost Consultant to adopt new tools and workflows.

4. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify gaps and propose digital enhancements to improve the Cost Consultant’s efficiency and accuracy.
  • Research and test new digital tools, data extraction methods, or scripting techniques relevant to Cost Consultancy.
  • Support the company’s digital transformation strategy within the Cost Consultancy department

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES FOR THE JOB:

Education (Academic, Professional, Technical):

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field with a strong emphasis on programming and analytical logic.

Experience / Profile:

  • Strong coding skills in at least one of:
    • Python
    • Excel VBA
    • JavaScript
    • SQL

Desirable Technical Skills

  • Power BI
  • Excel Power Query / Power Pivot
  • Understanding of REST APIs
  • Basic BIM knowledge (Revit data structures, IFC, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (preferred but trainable)
