We are looking for a second Sales Manager to support revenue growth for Shanti Maurice Resort & Spa by cultivating long-term relationships with key accounts, travel trade partners, and corporate clients.
Job Purpose
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth for Shanti Maurice Resort & Spa by developing and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts, travel trade partners, and corporate clients. The role focuses on positioning the resort as a leading luxury wellness and lifestyle destination while achieving budgeted room nights, revenue, and market penetration targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Proactively identify, develop, and manage new and existing business opportunities across key markets (leisure, luxury FIT, groups, weddings, wellness, and selected corporate).
- Maintain strong relationships with travel agents, tour operators, DMCs, wholesalers, and strategic partners.
- Conduct sales calls, client meetings, presentations, and site inspections.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and agreements in line with the resort’s commercial strategy.
- Actively participate in sales trips, trade shows, roadshows, and networking events as required.
Account Management
- Manage assigned accounts to maximize production and long-term partnerships.
- Monitor account performance, production trends, and market dynamics.
- Ensure effective follow-up on enquiries, contracts, and opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless delivery of contracted business. Marketing & Promotion
- Support the implementation of sales and marketing initiatives, promotions, and campaigns.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on newsletters, webinars, training sessions, and trade communications.
- Represent the resort in a professional manner, consistently reinforcing brand values and luxury positioning.
Revenue & Reporting
- Contribute to annual sales planning, budgeting, and forecasting. · Track sales performance against targets and prepare regular reports for management.
- Provide market intelligence, competitor analysis, and recommendations to optimize revenue.
Internal Coordination
- Work closely with Reservations, Revenue Management, Operations, and Finance to ensure alignment and smooth execution of business.
- Ensure accurate communication of client requirements and expectations.
Candidate Profile Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar sales role within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
- Strong knowledge of the luxury travel market, ideally with exposure to Indian Ocean destinations.
- Established carnet d’adresses with DMCs in Mauritius is required; a network across other international markets is a strong advantage
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and developing key accounts.
- Experience with leisure, luxury FIT, groups, and/or weddings is a strong advantage.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are an advantage.
