FairStone Ltd is looking for a Land Surveyor for its construction site located in Cap Malheureux.
Responsibilities
- Providing boundary, topographic, and route surveys, records of survey, parcel maps and final maps.
- Providing drafting and other survey support.
- Process field electronic data for topographic surveys.
- Manage and allocate tasks to employees/ chainman.
- Ensuring teams work together to deliver quality work to strict deadline.
- Monitoring Land Surveying process.
- Produce survey reports.
- Prepare sign offs.
- Creative thinking to resolve practical planning and development problems.
- Interpret drawings, data using maps, charts and plans.
- Utilise data from a range of sources, such as aerial photography, satellite surveys and laser beam measuring systems.
- Use of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and other IT software to interpret data and present information.
- Keep up to date with new and emerging technology.
Requirements
- Proven hands on work experience as Land Surveyor.
- Knowledge of geographical information systems (GIS) and CAD as well as general IT skills.
- Decision-making skills and ability to work independently.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- High level of numeracy.
- Map work orientation skills (for work in the field).
- Excellent accuracy especially when using surveying equipment's.
- Capable to identify problems quickly and provide solutions.

- It is highly preferable that the candidate lives in the northern part of the Island.
