The Commercial Assistant supports the Commercial Manager through market intelligence, commercial planning, marketing coordination, supplier follow-up, and administrative execution.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Commercial, Communication & Planning 

  • Maintain a competitor benchmarking file, including updated pricing, value propositions, and key strengths and weaknesses
  • Assist in the preparation of the yearly commercial plan, including budgeting
  • Assist in the preparation of Capex documentation & other Commercial Presentation 
  • Maintain the planning and execution of the Marketing & Communication plan in collaboration with internal teams
  • Assist in the creation and rollout of customer surveys
  • Conduct market research, including secondary data research
  • Follow up with various internal and external suppliers for branded items
  • Prepare and send artwork briefs to creative and graphic teams, and follow up on deliverables
  • Be present alongside the Commercial team during trade fairs and other commercial events
Support and Admin
  • Prepare performance reports as required by Commercial Manager, extracted from systems or compiled manually
  • Coordinate contract approvals with the Legal team and follow up on amendment.
  • Obtain General Manager signature for approved contracts and dispatch signed contracts to the Medine Legal team along with the required memo
  • Ensure proper filing and documentation of contracts
  • Support Admin work (PR/PO/ Invoices) and creditors follow-up for the Commercial Department
  • Support, as required, the selection, onboarding, and follow-up of suppliers for the Commercial team
  • Assist with system configuration and setup as needed
  • Assist customer visits as required, including influencers, VIP customers, and partners
  • Any other cognate duties as may be necessary in the circumstances and/or required by the employer

Candidate's Profile:
  • Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Management or any other relevant discipline
  • Have minimum 3 years working experience in similar capacity in hospitality industry
  • Marketing and communication awareness would be an advantage
  • Be an advocate of Casela with all stakeholders
  • Well versed in terms of Marketing and Communication 
  • Be customer-oriented as well as team-oriented
  • Pay attention to details
  • Have a good level of written and spoken English and French
  • Be computer literate and willing to learn new skills
  • Be logical in all undertakings
  • Be well organized, to respect deadlines and commitments
  • Able to work flexible hours and on week-ends if needed
