The Room Supervisor is responsible for supervising Room Attendants and ensuring guest rooms, corridors, and assigned areas meet the hotel’s cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards. This role plays a key part in quality control, staff training, and guest satisfaction.
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Room Attendants and Housekeeping Runners
Inspect guest rooms, suites, and corridors to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are met
Ensure rooms are cleaned and released on time for arrivals, departures, and stayovers
Conduct rechecks and follow up on corrective actions
Allocate room assignments and workloads
Train, coach, and guide Room Attendants on cleaning procedures and service standards
Monitor staff performance, productivity, and attendance
Assist with onboarding and on-the-job training of new staff
Handle guest complaints related to room cleanliness or service promptly and professionally
Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance to resolve issues efficiently
Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction
Update room status accurately in the PMS or housekeeping system
Report maintenance issues, lost-and-found items, and safety hazards
Ensure proper use and care of housekeeping equipment and supplies
Maintain housekeeping reports, checklists, and inspection records
Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards
Enforce SOPs, brand standards, and infection control procedures
