Laundry Attendant

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, drying, ironing, folding, and maintaining all hotel linens, uniforms, and guest laundry to ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation in accordance with hotel procedures.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Laundry Operations

• Sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry

• Operate laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, presses, and ironing machines safely and efficiently

• Follow fabric care instructions and laundry procedures to prevent damage

• Ensure timely processing of laundry to meet operational requirements

Linen & Uniform Handling

• Maintain adequate par levels of linens and uniforms

• Inspect linens and uniforms for stains, damage, or wear and report issues

• Distribute clean linens and uniforms to relevant departments

• Collect soiled linen and uniforms from guest floors and departments

Guest Laundry Service

• Handle guest laundry and dry-cleaning requests accurately and confidentially

• Ensure correct labeling, recording, and timely return of guest items

• Report lost or damaged items immediately according to hotel procedures

Health, Safety & Hygiene

• Follow hygiene, sanitation, and infection-control standards at all times

• Use laundry chemicals safely and in accordance with instructions

• Maintain cleanliness of laundry equipment and work areas

• Comply with fire safety and occupational health procedures

Stock & Inventory Control

• Monitor laundry supplies and report low stock levels

• Assist with linen counts and inventory checks

• Minimize wastage of chemicals, water, and electricity
